How Plan.N Works
What is Plan.N?
Plan.N helps groups coordinate plans honestly. Instead of endless group chat back-and-forth, Plan.N lets everyone privately signal their interest and conditions before anyone commits. Support is anonymous until the plan is finalized, so there’s no social pressure.
How it works
1. Someone creates a plan with a title, quorum (minimum people needed), and optional details like date, place, and budget. 2. Friends see the plan and can support it (commit), add conditions ("only if it's under $50"), or skip it. Identities stay hidden. 3. Once the quorum is reached, someone volunteers to organize. 4. The organizer finalizes the details. The system automatically checks each supporter's conditions against the final terms — compatible supporters are confirmed, others can request to join anyway. 5. Names are revealed and the plan happens!
What is a quorum?
The quorum is the minimum number of supporters needed before a plan can move forward. The creator sets it when making the plan. Once enough people support, the plan reaches quorum status.
What are conditions?
When you support a plan, you can add conditions like budget limits, date preferences, or location requirements. The organizer sees an anonymized summary (e.g. ‘2 people need budget under ₹500’) — never who set which condition. This helps them finalize terms that work for everyone without compromising anyone’s privacy.
Who can see my plans?
Plans are shared through your connections. You see plans from your friends, and plans they forward to you. The creator controls visibility settings.
What is the reveal system?
Supporter identities are always hidden until a plan is finalized. After finalization, names are revealed based on the plan’s reveal tier. This prevents social pressure — people commit because they genuinely want to, not because they see a friend already committed.
What are connection tags?
Tags let you categorize your connections (e.g. ‘College’, ‘Close friends’). Each connection can have up to 2 tags. When you create a plan, you choose which tags to share it with for more targeted coordination.
What does the organizer do?
After quorum is reached, anyone can volunteer to organize. The organizer sets final details (exact time, venue, budget) and finalizes the plan. The system then automatically checks each supporter’s conditions — those whose conditions are met are confirmed, and those who aren’t can request to join anyway.
After finalization
Once a plan is finalized, the terms are locked and can no longer be edited. This is because supporters confirmed based on those specific terms — changing them after the fact would break the trust contract. If a supporter's conditions don't match the final terms, they won't be confirmed. They can request to join anyway, and the organizer can approve or reject the request.
